80,000 More European Merchants To Accept Bitcoin & Other Cryptos
Two Euro-based entities, Coingate and Prestashop, are coming together to provide a way for many businesses to accept major cryptocurrencies in Europe. '
One of their main goals is to spread the word about crypto (and make it a more attractive option) to as many people as possible, not just those who are tech-savvy / 'expert' investors.
I thing this is welcome development for crypto enthusiasts and it a good gesture to have these in Europe and other place too.
I wonder how they solve the problem of slow Bitcoin et al transaction confirmations? I guess they might accept payment once the transaction has entered the system and take the risk.
@joes That's a good question. So how would somebody, if they wanted to, go about scamming one of these vendors if they were to accept the payment before it is confirmed? Is it possible to get a transaction denied/unconfirmed on purpose?
